 John Cooper Born 30-Jun-1821 on English Cay, Belize. Died 14-Mar-1891 in Oak Ridge Roatan. John Cooper, was the oldest son of Samuel Cooper and Catherine ? of Cork, Ireland, last name unknown. Samuel and his family had settled on the West End of Roatan. After various moves to different locations on the Island, John and his younger brother, Thomas A. Cooper (1834-1909), settled in Oak Ridge and eventually became the patriarchs of the two Cooper families of Oak Ridge, Roatan. It was their sister, Catherine Jane Cooper (1837-1917), who married James David Cooper of Utilla, the youngest son of Joseph David Cooper, patriarch of the Utilla Coopers.
