Casa Idalia is a cozy, brand new two-bedroom, two-bath home, located about 3 miles from Utila Town, and is BOAT ACCESS ONLY, meaning no cars. Just quiet, peaceful privacy. The sound of the sea and the occasional passing boat make it an ideal getaway from the hustle of modern city life.

Custom-built to U.S. standards, Casa Idalia features a burgeoning flower garden, fabulous sea views, screened-in porch and outside deck for relaxing any time of the year. Walk along the manicured path to the sea just 90 feet away, or take advantage of the adjacent two-story dock for unsurpassed sunbathing, star gazing or entertaining.

Casa Idalia is air-conditioned, has a fully-equipped kitchen, spacious dining nook, and a comfortable living room where you can put your feet up after a wonderful day of diving, beachcombing, snorkeling, swimming, picnicking or enjoying any of the other attractions that Utila's South Shore has to offer.

The two bedrooms can accommodate up to five guests with a double bed in one bedroom, and two single beds with a clever trundle bed in the other. Two bathrooms with beautifully tiled showers afford convenience and privacy.

The spacious screen room and expansive front deck offer you options for entertaining or just spreading out. The huge market umbrella gives you a respite from the sun while allowing you to spend as much time as you want outdoors. A portable barbecue gas grill lets you take your culinary skills to the beach or the dock, and fresh ---really fresh--- fish is available for an unforgettable beachside, dockside, or patio-based dining experience.

Some of the optional attractions of the South Shore are kayaking; spectacular, unique sea-side dining at Chez Lola (the #1 TripAdvisor rated restaurant in the entire Bay Islands); Water Cay excursions; SCUBA diving with Utila Cays Diving (also #1 on TripAdvisor), trips to Utila town for sightseeing and shopping; fishing (both deep-sea and bone fishing), and many other adventures.

We can even have your first night's dinner ready when you arrive, so you can start your vacation the minute you get here.

Your rental at Casa Idalia includes round-trip boat transfers from your point of entry in Utila Town, a cell phone, and USB internet hookup to check email. All events and excursions are "weather permitting" and are subject to change or cancellation.
